Bryann, whose full name is Brian Chukwuemeka Chijioke, is a Nigerian Afrobeat/Afropop singer and songwriter.

The 24-year-old artist was born to Mr and Mrs Chijioke and hails from Imo State, Nigeria.

Family And Education

Bryann, a contestant on Big Brother Naija, was given the name Brian Chukwuemeka Chijioke at birth. He was born in August 1998 to parents from Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria.

Bryann grew up in a family of four, including his mother, father, and younger sister, who is the youngest child.

While Bryann’s early education background remains largely unknown, he attended Babcock University for his tertiary education, where he pursued a degree in Computer Engineering.

In addition to his academic focus, he also has a keen interest in music, dance, and acting.

Career

Surprisingly, before being selected for Big Brother Naija, Bryann was already involved in the entertainment industry as a Nigerian singer and artist. He launched his music career in 2019.

In an Instagram post where he introduced himself, Bryann referred to himself by saying, “My name is Bryann, and music is my occupation.”

Prior to gaining fame as a reality TV star, Bryann was primarily an artist, music producer, and actor.

He cites Wande Coal, Vybz Cartel, and Angelique Kidjo among his musical inspirations.

Despite having started creating music in 2019, it wasn’t until 2021 that the 24-year-old reality TV star released his first full-length project.

Bryann is the eleventh housemate to have been introduced into the Big Brother Naija Season 7 house.

He finds his greatest joy in meeting new people, partying, and watching movies. According to him, “I consider myself to be an ambivert – a blend of both an introvert and an extrovert.

I experience sudden bursts of energy, as well as days with low energy, but I know how to interact with people in both scenarios.”

Being creative brings Bryann great joy, and he hopes that being part of Big Brother Naija will provide him with a platform to connect with people, increase his social capital, and promote his music.

During the introduction, Bryann also confesses to his fellow housemates about his chronic lateness, saying, “I’m often forgetful, so there are times when I forget to arrive on time for meetings.”
